Most procedures require no anesthesia. There are some that require local anesthesia, and some that we perform under oral sedation & local anesthesia. Very few require general anesthesia, but general anesthesia is available through the services of a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.
If oral sedation is the treatment of choice, we will give you your required prescriptions at the time of the consultation. You will pick them up at the pharmacy and bring them back with you to the spa at the time of your treatment appointment. We ask that you arrive 1 hour early so that we can administer your medications and allow them to take effect. Before coming to your appointment, we ask that you eat a large breakfast. You are required to bring an adult to drive you home and stay with you for the following 6 hours.
If general anesthesia is the treatment of choice, it is required that you not have anything to eat or drink 8 hours prior to the time of your appointment. You will also need to have an adult with you who can drive you home and stay with you for the next 12 to 24 hours.
