Dr. James Whitney, Oral Surgeon

Dr. James Whitney is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has been practicing in the Shenandoah Valley for 39 years. Dr. Whitney graduated from dental school in 1976 from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his oral surgery residency in 1979 from the Medical College of Georgia. In 1997, Dr. Whitney pursued his interest in cosmetic surgery and became certified by the state of Virginia to perform facial cosmetic surgery. He continued to practice facial cosmetic surgery in Harrisonburg for 21 years. He joined Spa 122 in 2018 and looks forward to continuing his passion.

He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Whitney completed a preceptorship in San Diego, California with Richard Fitzpatrick, M.D. and also completed preceptorships with Zein Obagi, M.D. in Los Angeles, California, and Suzan Obagi, M.D. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
